One of the criteria for getting the OLEV grant was your house needs to have modern electrical supply, I don't think our 1920's supply suffices
I got a torch & the BIG step ladders out to have a look in the fuse box cupboard where the spiders live , the electric supply comes into the house at ceiling height 10 foot up, the biggest fuse in there is 30 amp for the shower. You need at least a 60 amp for a 7kw wall box charger from what I've read.

I sent a raft of pics so they can remotely access the job but I've heard nowt back yet! They're probably still laughing at the bakerlite fuse board & wired fuses lol. I've asked missus for a loan out of her big purse but she's told me to bog off
We are still in the Horse and Cart era here in Norfolk, not has wealthy as our Northern friends, they all seem to be buying new motors.

LOL So that's were the Steptoe & son smells coming from I need to change our electricity supplier to get that thruppence ha'penny/Kw overnight rate to charge up the car for next to nowt.
I've been reading about some EV owners who only get their electricity supply from green renewable sources & the last three weeks or so have been bad for them as there's not been much wind or solar so they're being charged up to £0.35/Kw Pity these things don't run on rain as I'd be quids in here

It's alright for you - I've had to prop one corner of the bed up with bricks now the money tin is empty
