I got my withdrawal symptoms after three and a half days off the site. Hence, I have been sitting here since before 7am trawling through all the stuff I missed. It is good to be back though, isn't it!

I have to wonder what some of you longer term owners have gotten up to in the past. My neighbours would have the curtains twitching like mad if they knew I was out at 7am with the bonnet up and the tools out! It was bad enough last week when I met Graham1961 and I was actually washing the car in a heavy frost. Oh I wish I had a garage or, at the very least, a driveway!

On the the subject of doing things under the bonnet under unusual circumstances.... When we went to France in January SWMBO put on her Marigolds, opended the bonnet, and changed the headlight setting while under the interested gaze of two security men. When we got to the check-in we were pulled aside and asked to open the bonnet so they could have a look. They were a bit embarrased when Christine said 'I'm sure there's nothing in there, I've just had the bonnet up to change the lights'.
Christine is the one who can see, so she does the driving and mechanicing. Malcolm |
