French Police Enforcement Notice
This was news to me that this law is to be enforced on July 1st but has been now put back till later this year. My question is 1/WHY? 2/If you use one do you have to carry it with you to prove you are OK.
What a stupid law and for what purpose will it prevent? Have a look here:-http://www.frenchbreathalyzer.com/ French Mike, have you any thoughts on this

Before the police advised carrying two kits, the concensus was, if you have used the one kit you are required by law, then you cannot legally drive, even if the kit proves you sober... so you might as well stay on longer at the bar and get ****** anyway !!!!

Does it say they must be unused? If so even if you use one, you still have two.

Yep -- must be unused and immediately available .... or a re-usable digital jobbie.

My sister is having to get one of these for a trip soon.
And a piece of paper for Germany costing £10, 'environment certificate' or summat. They seem to like their bureaucracy and odd rules over there..... |
