Sounds a bit naughty to me.
I worked for a Ford dealership that booked out a car care kit to every workshop job. The car care kit consisted of a seat cover, floor mat and a steering wheel cover. NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- cheeky when you consider this is a cost that should be tied into operational costs ! I had this removed from invoicing/job cards due to many reasons but the two main ones were that I thought it wrong in principle to the retail customer, and the other reasons were that fleet operators like Lex etc and the FMC warranty departments refused to pay for them on their bills. I suspect in your case, this may be for a dose of engine flush and injector cleaner maybe, used to be called "Add Ons" |

Probably tissue paper used to wipe the top of the engine cover.

The trade had some naughty tricks up their sleeve back in the day. Not sure what they're up to nowadays, but the fleet operators were on top of it in the 80's & 90's and disallowed anything added on in terms of parts.
So the question really is - "What is the true price for the service as per schedule with nothing added"? |

Thanks all.
All the services was done at a dealer. And this kit was listed in around 3 of the services. And always the same price. |
