Default mk 4 sat nav

hi to all
can a mk4 sat nav dvd unit be used with a mk3 head unit or do i need to change to a widescreen head unit

You can use any version of the sat nav drive with your factory head unit, including the mk4.

But if you were to use a widescreen head unit, you would need to change the video module as well to get widescreen display, as this is the module that drives the display, not the sat nav drive. If not, you would get a 4/3 screen on the center of the widescreen display.
