MOT Joy
Hi All,
My first post on here, although have been subscribed to the other place for a year or so now. so hello again! It was time for the old beast's second MOT today, so I reluctantly took the other half's Mondeo to work she took my joy to be serviced and MOT'd. And the good news.... passed with flying colours, not even an advisory!! I am concerned though that I have a slight pull to the left with a wobble on the steering at low speed. Had the tracking done and all wheels balanced, and the problem, although a little better, is still there. Ideas???? |

Good news on the Mot front.
hen you had the tracking done, was this 4 wheel, and with the fuel tank brim full? Apparently that's how it has to be done..... |

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had heard about the full tank bit, so cried all the way to the filling station before taking the car in.
A little but more news though... I spoke to the mechanic today who did the MOT, and he mentioned that it could be a warp in one of the front tyres, that would be very difficult to see. I have heard of this, but it was many years ago. Now then, if only I had the money, it would be the perfect excuse for a set of serpents and new boots!! Unfortunately I am getting married on Sunday so all spare cash has been redirected... for some considerable time ( Cheers, Alistair |

Little trick before parting with the hard earned.
Swap the 2 front tyres one side to the other, if car pulls the opposite it's a tyre, if same way it's the car. A large majority of all pulling problems is due to rear axle and thrust misalignment. |
