Well said Jeff, a proper send off for a proper Gent.

We couldn’t have a drink today due to the drive home, glasses raised now though.

Lucentis injections, my dad had to have them, he had about 28 altogether.

There was some debate as to whether Richard was nodding off or furiously texting away

Ah well . . . . feels like the very sad end of an era. Haven't had much enthusiasm for anything today.

It is the end of an era mate, I expected a 'typical' funeral (If you can excuse the term) How wrong I was, the send off was everything Derek deserved, and the wake had us all smiling and chatting as we would do at a meet!

I am 100% sure this is how Derek would have wanted us to be Today, yes the man has gone, but his legend will live in this club forever.

Hi Steve,

The funeral was as much a celebration of Derek's life rather than a sad occasion.

It was so nice to see so many people exchanging their memories of him and all with a smile on their faces.

The world has lost a true Gent but was a much better place for him being on it.
