I remember one time when my son moved into his house,it was an empty shell not lived for years. My wife spotted an old china jug with a yellow flower on it,we took it home and redecorated our entire bathroom yellow to match the china jug.

G'day all - the missus and I just can't seem to shrug off this cold/flu bug. We're both still coughing, sneezing and lots of other symptoms you don't want to hear about. My entire food intake on Sunday consisted of a yoghurt and a ginger biscuit - makes a change from roast beef and all the trimmings
SWMBO is worse than me - can't go five minutes without having a huge coughing fit; we've both tried alcohol - home-made raspberry gin, Capt. Morgan's Spiced Rum, brandy - hasn't helped the bug but does make you a bit wobbly on your feet.
I've never been so inactive for such a long period - 6 days now, and I've only crossed the threshold to put stuff in the bin.

Good afternoon Rod, I didn’t realise that both Angela and yourself have been hit by the flu. Is it the Aussie Flu I have been reading about. I am sorry to hear you are unwell. You must take care of yourselves, wishing you a speedy recovery.

We had a nice swim this morning but this afternoon I have been struck down by a bad headache. I am hoping it’s only a headache and not malaria, so no evening swim today.

Take care

I hope you & your missus are feeling better soon Rod, sounds nasty does that flu bug, My sister is down with something similar and I'm supposed to take her & muttley to the doggy hydro treatment place in Bolton sometime this week, I've told her to cancel it & stay away from me

It must be getting warmer although it certainly doesn't feel like it, that wind goes cuts through you, the frost on the cars in the drive has just melted in the last 15 minutes.
An Aldi ready meal for tea tonight Chinese pork stir fry with Pilau rice I hope it's not too spicy.

I've got a couple of Ealing studio comedies lined up to watch this evening, The lady killers & Go to blazes.

If its the same one that's been doing the rounds here (Jeff, Freddie, myself) its hellish, worst cold/flu bug I can recall for a long time. Whether its Aussie flu . . . . no idea, I certainly didn't have a craving for Fosters. When it hit its peak with me I had visions of ending up in hospital one night I was finding it so hard to get my breath, I took one of Ging's antihistamines as a last resort and that did give some relief. The cough was so violent I strained the muscles in my diaphragm.

It does sound really nasty Steve, Seems to be hitting the east side of the country too.
