This seems a bit weird
Hi all,
Now I know I have been accused of having some sandwiches missing from my picnic but I don't know where to start with this one. Driving home from work earlier, my indicators stopped working. Soon sort this I thought so when I got home I went to lock the car with the remote but it was not having any of it. It will unlock from the remote though. Bit weird, thinks I, so whilst having a cup of tea I disconnected the battery. On reconnecting, I now have another fault, the heater control just displays Er on both sides. Now, before I try anything else and completely disable everything, any ideas you chaps with all your sandwiches still intact? Hoping it's not BCU related, Many thanks, Will |

Do you have a hiline with satnav etc? Everything I can find relating to those symptoms you describe point to water getting at the hiline equipment in the boot causing a k-bus fault.

U have a kbus fault somewhere. I had it not long ago. Nightmare to find.
Try plug under drivers seat or plug in the rear where satnav would plug in. Even of u dont have satnav still check the plug. Its a white wire with red strip. It will be shorting out somewhere. Oh and u must have a water leak somewhere. Check ur plenum is not blocked Richy |

Thanks for your prompt replies. Seems after turning the ignition on again the heater displays as normal now! Just been out to check the plenum, bone dry as is the boot. I did have hi-line sat-nav but it has been replaced by a DD unit. I did fix the airbag warning light at the weekend, usual culprit under the drivers seat but Richym, what should I be looking for there? Which plug might it be?

Its the big multiplug that connects to the seats. Looks for a white wire with red stripe. Red stripe can be hard to see. Cut the wire then seal it off so it doesnt short out

Even weirder, just had a big thunderstorm and everything is now working fine! Of course, I know it's not fixed, only a temporary reprieve!
