Default Brake Flex normal or braided? - Where to buy

Hi All,

I hope everyone is enjoying the good weather.

It has come up as an advisory that the brake flex hoses could do with replacement.

Where is the best place to buy these and has anyone upgraded to braided, if so where did they buy them and was it worth it?

Thanks,
Ollie

Thanks for all the replies. Does anyone have any experience with braided over standard hoses?

I'm not really into modifying cars, but it has always seemed like a sensible choice, but interested in opinions.

I fit braided to all my cars for longevity and better breaking. I think I put goodridge ones on the ZT

Flexible hoses always have some stretch in them as pressure is applied, even braided, but braided ones much less so. They provide slightly harder brake pedal, less spring, less give.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Unfortunately, they are not quite as good as people think. They don't last forever, and damage to the internal pipe cannot be seen.

I have just fitted a set of EBC stainless braided hoses to my 75 Tourer made by EBC, certainly can feel a more positive pedal after fitting and bleeding them out, I feel a worthwhile addition, plus cheaper than standard hoses from other suppliers. Well, that is my opinion aired.

I’ve used goodridge for years on bikes and trikes, can’t recommend them highly enough.
