micro switch
When you take out the micro switch from the tailgate finisher it has two wires connected to it, what I did was to use a small precision screwdriver to get at the top half of the switch and ease the sides over the small tangs gently two on each side be careful though as it is quite tricky, then lift top part off and you will see the workings inside I gave them a spray then put the top back on it just clicks back in place hopefully that should do the trick. Just a little update, it's been working spot on for several days now. No glitches at all. Thanks for the info, if it starts again I'll know what to do.
