Default Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping

When I turn the ignition off, I get 5 Pings and what sounds like a small whirring noise from the aircon even though it hasn't been switched on.

As I've had the car less than a week I don't know if this is normal or not and I can't see anything in the owners manual about it.

Any clues?

Sounds like it might be a fan blade catching somewhere.

What makes you think it's air con related?

The whirring noise, might be the ventilation system closing its vents as you switch off, which is normal.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

The ventilation-flaps will also be heard whirring (if you dont start the engine) when the ignition is switched on. Pings usually come from the lights being left on when the door is opened.

I get three pings on mine if I leave the face on the radio.
I have a Sony with removable face.
Reminds you to remove it.
