That's certainly the commonly accepted difference David, but it's not how they're described in the industry.

Bolts
Hi
A bolt that has threads all the way to the head is called a SET SCREW My 1.8s bleed screw is a 6 mm set screw and in my opinion is a poor design It should have a hole drilled up the centre to the half way point and then be cross drilled so the screw does not have to be completely removed to bleed the system . It's bonded into a radiator hose which you will see near the battery. Look for a hexagon head. Simon

Sean has now sent me one with the washer & seal which I didn't have before. Not sure if it will make any difference, but every little helps....

Work on the 1.8T New pads &cs all round, Bonnet Catch Reversed, Plenums Cleaned, Renewed Selected Radiator Hoses, New Stainless Steel Twin Exhaust,Metal T-Piece, Head Skimmed and MLS Head Gasket, New Cambelt & Alternator Belt, New PRT & Water Pump, New Air Duct Hose, New Radiator, New plugs, coil packs & HT leads, Golden Radiator Resistor. Car then blew up and I gave up. Bought the ZT 190 instead ! |
