Thinking about it maybe the metal tabs are holding it there for a reason, if the airbag deploys in milliseconds the force exserted on the badge may be quite high, wouldnt like a metal badge flying in my face at 3 million miles an hour! maybe pritt stick isnt up to the job in the case of deployment! |

from behind the badge I believe, ie the cover flaps down or up and the bag is behind ie crash happens sensor detects crash airbag cover flies open, up or down airbag inflates head hits airbag, (provided you didnt jump out before the crash) airbag deflates I think |

Thus badge is subject to a lot of force and may detach from plastic cover in the event of deployment. Whether or not it will fly into your legs through the roof or slices your ears off who knows, but if it is metal it might smart a bit if it comes off and hits you. This is probably quite unikely but presumably why there are metal tabs securring it! |

Ahhhhh, I see about the badge now, i can get that back... What i do not understand is..... The air bag casing is held in position on the steering wheel by 2 torx bolts....If you take one off, there is no flap... so what happens to that rock hard casing when the air bag deploys.... A bit more concerned about that than some tinchy little tin badge... |
