I bought this kit the last time I changed a thermostat, its cheaper than the one you linked to and you can clearly see it comes with the two clips.

Fairly straightforward doing it from the side and does save quite a bit of time.

Also would i need 'O' Rings etc, Ive ordered the thermo housing + pipes just want to make sure i get everything.

UPDATE- ive ordered the 2 inlet manifold gaskets as well now so just need info above on rings etc.

The thermostat housing and pipes should come complete with new seals.

Thanks for that, ive also ordered the resister kit from jules so im getting there now .
Also the parts i ordered did come with the 2 plastic clips that are not shown in the description http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-ROVER-7...ht_1128wt_1397 ordered at 12.pm and they come the next day, so was happy.

Update, car all fixed now had thermo housing plus pipes fitted and back box that i had with the car and a working low speed on rad fan with the resistor i had off jules.
