https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123126634238?ul_noapp=true This was purchased on the 27th of Nov was told a day later they had no stock so refunded me. I then found another seller gsfcarparts. ordered on the 30th when by 5th it had not turned up i contacted the seller whom told me they had run out of stock when ordered (lie) as there was 1 left so ordered the last one. They then said they had upgraded my oil and sent out this below, any of you Auto box owners say if this can be used or have used this oil please. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Comma...L/372411991616 Can it be used in our Auto jacto gear box? any and all fact replies welcome cheers Arctic. Hi Pete.
Thank you for posting, yes I had spotted the N402 which if I am right and under stood that to be the code for the oil that was originally used in our cars, but what I am really looking for is if anyone as ever used it with out any bad effects. I have message Andy and he is airing on the safe side saying send it back, apparently some nasty stories about Auto gearbox if the wrong oil is used? again all a learning curve for me, anyone else got views on this please.

I used this off of ebay earlier this year when I changed all the fluid in my auto box in the Tourer. Used about 8 litres. Drained, filled and flushed through disconnected trans oil cooler pipe a few times until oil came out same colour as new oil (original oil in box was very dark !)
Made a difference, changes bit smoother after fluid change. Oil has Jatco and MG/Rover part number on label https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATF-N402-...52~O:rk:1:pf:0 Paul |

Thank you for the link, I now have to see if the other seller will let me return the oil they sent, I also ordered another oil last night being the same oil that I originally ordered but from a different seller, I wished I had waited now. Can these oils be mixed ? because if the box takes 4trs from refill & is it 8ltrs from dry, being the fact we do not know what oil as been used prior to me/us owning the car. Therefore when we had what oil make we have decided to use can it not be used to mix and or flush it out, if used as a flush oil how long do you wait before you change it again.

Car manufacturers don't make ATF, or Coolant they just buy in bulk from the companies that do. It's put in a container with a fancy label on it with the appropriate part number.
There's a lot of decent companies offering suitable ATF for considerably less. Rimmer's want £42 for 4 litre, if you look at Mannol multivehicle you can get 8 litres for £36, I got a 20 litre drum for about £86 a while ago that was including shipping from Germany It pays to do a bit of shopping around. I used the same oil after it being mentioned on an earlier thread.... I think it was Simon (SD1) However, I ordered it from the Smith & Allen web site rather than eBay as I researched them a bit, and I think it actually worked out a bit cheaper... Fast delivery from them, and I noticed an improvement in gear changes straight away. My 75 had done 61000 when I changed earlier this year, and I did the "disconnect oil cooler to flush more oil out" method like you Paul, as described in another excellent thread on here by Beinet1 (spelling?) So much good information from this Forum .... much of it from Steve (Arctic) as well! Good with the fluid change, Steve. Easy job for you! Cheers John
