That's what I am afraid of, getting it back here and not wanting to break it up, still we'll see how it pans out, can't go much higher on the bidding if I'm goning to break it up though

Seems "to good" to break (mileage accepted) if surely all it needs is a new clutch (altough I realise its costly to replace, probably another £800 - I'm taking a stab in the dark guess - the current bidding price)?

I'm still a bit confused about this - its what's stopping me from upgrading the IPK. If I got a brand-new (never installed) IPK would it automatically acquire the mileage from the appropriate ECU, or does it need to be prompted (by T4 or whatever) to "pair-up"?

In good condition with half that mileage it would fetch between £2,000 - £2,500 going by what I have seen on eBay recently, he has not done a great job on the description (not actually stating that everything else is in good working order) so with 220,000 miles and an MOT looming you've got to be looking at spending well over grand on top of the bid price to put it right, then it will still have 220,000 miles on the clock - breaking is the only real option me thinks!

Personally I would bung a clutch in it get an MOT then because I fancy trying this - chop the roof off

Run it as an open top for the summer then make a grand or so out of all the bits on it in the winter!

If the lowline, then you have the same situation as me. The SMC ones are listed as for later VINs, but looking on EPC, the previous VIN versions have been supreceded to this part number aynway.

At least that's how I read it, and bought one as a spare for my '00
Low line thats the reason for me to change , did i read your post correct that you bought off SMC , if so do you know what colour the illumination of the dials are ?
Cheers Keith

I think the ones I bought were amber, but tey are also low line, bought as a just in case spare.

I think you are right that the SMC hiline ones aren't available for earlier cars.

What about this one for breaking? Not much detail other than the head gasket gone

What a poor ebay advert, hardly any info, those sorts of ommisions could cost the seller a fair bit of money.

I too would be interested in the sat nav gear / looms and brackets.

I'd also be interested in the FBH as mine seems to have a PCB fault.
