Default Man Flu

Probably the wrong forum for this but I feel it is important that members are aware of progress into man flu research.

I recently posted my findings as a reply to another query about research into this condition.

I recently contracted Man Flu, or Near Death Fever while my wife was away for a week!!

I decided to do a full double blind scientific experiment to see if a full week's diet consisting solely of Prince's tinned pies (£1) and John Smith's smooth beer (~75p) would affect a cure.

I am pleased to report that it worked perfectly and now I only get the dreaded disease when my wife is away. The cure, however, does take a full week, or the period of 'isolation' to take effect. As an added bonus Toby, the dog also likes the pies. I intend to write up my findings, after a dozen more infections, in the interests of scientific repeatability, and submit my report to the Lancet. I would be interested to hear any variations on this cure.
Kev.

Isn't it pointless contracting Man Flu when there is no-one to complain to and wait on you hand and foot?

Kev you are just the sort of Doctor this country needs, Never mind the unwashed, Royal assulting thugs (sorry, students) I think you should be given a grant to carry on with your good work. If you need anyone to conduct your tests on please free to contact me, even more so if your next test includes John Smiths and pukka pies.

I have done some of my own research and found that premeir pies carry high levels of man flu resistant vitamins and minerals along with Teakston old peculiar, its worth noting that the same benefits from these pies and brews are not available to female flu sufferers, when scientist looked into this they found the female flu is about on par with the male sore throat as worst.
