Man-Flu
This gets worse as you get older. I can normally soldier on through it but had to come home from work after lunch today, I felt awful. A few hours in bed then a steaming hot bath and I do feel a little better; hopefully I will be ready for battle again tomorrow - and will be in for some ribbing from the team!

There's no such thing as man-flu. You should use it's proper name which is Near Death Fever ...... only something us poor blokes get of course, which is where the nickname comes from.
Get well soon. |

Think I had a dose of this over the weekend, gave me the perfect excuse for a few of my favourite malts
The hangover symptoms the next morning out weighed the flu.. |

Ahhh, tis a terrible thing we chaps have to endure. I keep telling the girls at work that they don't know how lucky they are, in that they will never suffer from the symptoms of the dreaded Man Flu. You can perhaps imagine the reaction this is met with!

Man Flu Cure
I recently contracted Man Flu, or Near Death Fever while my wife was away for a week!! I decided to do a full double blind scientific experiment to see if a full week's diet consisting solely of Prince's tinned pies (£1) and John Smith's smooth beer (~75p) would affect a cure. I am pleased to report that it worked perfectly and now I only get the dreaded disease when my wife is away. As an added bonus Toby, the dog also likes the pies. I intend to write up my findings after a dozen more infections, in the interests of scientific repeatability, and submit my report to the Lancet. I would be interested to hear any variations on this cure.
