We had my grandad round the other day and he was trying to work out how to use the remote control for the television.

" I miss when there were no remotes," He grumbled," And all you got was a series of knobs on the television."

So I showed him the Jeremy Kyle show.

I've never watched his show for more than a few seconds.
From what I remember is that the so called Adults on there seem to be more childish than the naughtiest children I know.

They need to grow up, act more responsibly, and stop screwing around.
Bromide springs to mind also!

Having watched a couple of his first `shows', in which he admits to having a prison record, alledgedly ... he and jerry springer deserve each other, a match made in hades. Mike

You think Jeremy's show is bad - you should spend time in New York watching the US TV programmes - you'd soon be calling for the return of Jeremy Kyle!!!
Out here they have Dr Phil in the afternoon - and he only has one case duing his hour long show!!!

It's car crash telly and the man himself is despicable. My husband loves it...I can't bear it so I never have it on, however when hubby's home and watching it I find myself getting drawn in and staying tuned to find out who really is the father or if the son really did steal his mother's jewellery and pawn it for drugs.

BUT I hate it, to me it's morally wrong that these people's lives are put on show for the sake of entertainment. I don't agree with the lifestyles they lead but society as a whole is responsible for that, taking some onto telly and telling them 'to put something on the end of it' is not going to help clean up society, Jeremy Kyle just adds to the rot imho.

Television voyeurism for us normal folk to look down our noses at the misfits in society and curse at why we pay taxes for them to eek out an existance at our expense
Or maybe, just maybe it's none of the above and it's all a set up to make us choke on our coffee thinking the above
