[QUOTE=scooterchick;986408]Absolutely goegeous dog, and I agree with whoever said he doesn't look too overweight. Given dog food only and plenty of walks should be enough to get him to his ideal weight.

We will get there with him, he is having plenty of walks & is only on dog food which i am cutting the amount down a bit at a time. I am taking him to the vets on Thursday evening for a checkover & his claws clipping ( i wonder if he likes the vets??? )

We took Max to the vets last night, he had his claws clipped, a check over, he was given his booster jab & then he was weighed - 46 kilos!! or 7st 3. The vet suggests he should be around 30 kilos so today i am going to buy him a treadmill , no i am going to get him some weight control food. He is now going for three decent waks a day so we should soon start to see some results. Other than his weight the vet said he is a healthy dog which made me feel much happier.

Good luck with the diet and the exercise!

Btw, he could have been a lot worse. We saw this collie on an older Animal 24/7 yesterday. Hard to believe anyone let the poor thing get into this condition.....
