I do agree with you, technically, there isn't much wrong with Win8. It's stable and kinda does what it's supposed to do. It's just the UI that has changed a lot (and I for one really don't like the new way...)

Hi.
Windoze!!! I only use XP for all my manuals and service data, it isn't connected to the "net" and goes like the wind! All my other computers use Linux, and as I type, this one uses Mint "Olivia" and firefox. I don't have all the problems that Microsoft users seem to have. Of course I tend to use only the Internet, PDFs, and quite basic things anyway. So for me Linux is reliable and very stable with less chance of viruses.

I agree, Windows 8/8.1 is not user friendly at all.
I've had an influx of customers wishing to downgrade to Windows 7 as they got so frustrated with 8/8.1 ! |

If I wanted to upgrade a 75 Club to almost Connoisseur spec. I would not want to be told I have to pay to upgrade to Club SE first and so on. OK Rover went bust so I can't expect support, but Microsoft make billions and are still going because once you pay for one of their overpriced systems, they then expect you to keep paying them for each and every latest version. |
