Default ZT Ready for mot, Help needed,

Hi all,

After all my hard work, the ZT is ready for the MOT,

New Stat, and pipes fitted, along with gaskets, no coolant in the V,

The question,

The car was idling quite rough, and whenever the throttle was applied and released, the car would almost stall.
The battery has been disconnected for a week, while I waited for the parts.
Will this sort itself out once its been run for a while? or am I looking at something more serious?

You almost certainly have an air leak, either on one of the manifold gaskets or one of the breather pipes, or maybe even the VIS motors if you disturbed them. Most likely you may of kinked one of the inlet manifold o rings. You didn't accidentally leave a pipe off anywhere?

Everything is pushed in, and nothing missed, I'll have to take the manifold back off and check to see if any of the Seals/o rings are damaged.

Good thing i've got used to taking the car apart.

Just in case you could try just driving the car for a couple of days to see if it settles.

I had similar - on mine it looks like the seals (the black ones, not the big green O Rings) had gone rather crusty with age, and wouldn't seal correctly.
These are the ones I mean:
KV6 Upper Inlet Manifold Seals

They just in a groove within the manifold.

Just took the manifold off, getting good at it now, ten mins and done

Everything was pushed in properly, double checked all wiring, just in case,
nothing missed or out of place,

The only thing i noticed were the Manifold front Black gaskets, were caked in grease and NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-,
Otherwise all was good,

Cars in for the MOT today,

Only thing I think it can fail on is the TOW bar electrics,
Other than that all seems well,

Fixed the idle problem aswell, EML came on turned out I hadnt pushed the connector for injector bank 5 home, runs sweet lovely now
