Default Time to Start the Spring Clean

Finally, some decent weather so I can get back into my monthly routine of "wheels off" cleaning. 3 wheels done and it starts to rain, so I pack everything away. As soon as the last bit of kit is back in the shed, it stops raining!

I had the whole car rustproofed not long after I bought her some 10+ years ago and the underside is covered in copious amounts of black Waxoyl (which is still holding up well to this day). The downside is that the wheel arches etc will never look pretty, but at least I know they're clean .

Cliff, can you not just chuck a tarpaulin over it during showers and with work ongoing? Re. those wheel arches can you apply some matt black paint sprayed on ?

To be honest, I missed a trick. The one remaining wheel is the rear off side, and there's just about enough room under the carport to do that one in the dry.

Sadly though, that very obvious solution didn't occur to me until everything was packed away, and I just couldn't be bothered to get it all out again . I know what I'll be doing tomorrow .

Good point! Been meaning to get some for ages, so have now ordered a set from Rimmer Bros .

Cheers for the nudge,
