Yes, solid rear discs use narrower calipers than vented discs. I think these are the numbers for the rear.

Carriers: solid - SXP100010 / vented - SXP000050
Calipers: solid - SOB100020 or SOB100030 / vented - SOB000040 or SOB000050

Numbers from https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for....php?p=1318951

Some of them are listed on Rimmers - https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001572

Where did you buy the stainless unions?

Thanks Blink.

Stainless unions:

Will be getting back to the company who supplied the caliper. Makes sense that the one I have is meant for a much deeper vented disc.
Usually I'd go to my local motor factor for this- they're normally OK on price and it's good to support local businesses who you might just need in an emergency one day.
They're currently closed on account of lock-down.
Thanks again for the part numbers

3/8" UNF

Err, no no NO NO !!!!

If you are wanting the correct size, take a look HERE a tad on the pricey side though, and dare I say completely unnecessary

Thank you marinabrian, posted that much too quickly- right website wrong linky!

Absolutely true, they are extravagant. Found them when I was doing the brakes on a TF. Unions were all exposed to the elements and seized solid. Ended up being a complete pain to undo. I hope that if I ever have to go back to one of these they'll be less hassle.
Cheers!

Got in the boot with a mirror and a torch while Deb turned the hosepipe on, not very comfortable when you are 6’ tall.

The upside is I managed to find the source of the water leak that has been annoying me for months, turned out it was a seam and the seam sealer has become porous over time.

A good clean and degrease, then three separate coverings with Captain Tolleys should see it repaired.

I might now be able to refit all the boot panels that have been in my shed for the last three months!

May be a good idea to coat them with Dynax S50 or Dynax UC - it can be brushed on if sprayed into a small container first.
