Steve,
Are the rear drainage tubes on a saloon in the same position as a tourer, i.e. near those plastic air vents? i cannot recall ever noticing them there.

If you have not done a saloon could Jules confirm this maybe?

Its a lot easier to do the rear ones on the saloon, just pull back the carpet that lines each side of the boot and there they are in full view

I believe Steve said he got them from Halfords but he will confirm.

These are on sale at Halfords so they should be the ones but you can also try e bay

Thanks for pointing out where i got them from Halford's

they also do a double pack £2.75 i think you will need four i have found them on the bay at £1.99 for one the cheapest yet but not done a great deal of searching i bought the box of different sizes £10.99 but be-aware this box only contains 3 connectors

Note they are the three largest in the top right hand compartment of the box

You can buy from ebay type in 16mm Straight Barbed Hose connector should thow up quite a few

I've had this problem with the sunroof drains

why o why are the drains of such poor design?? My 2 year old could have come up with something better than what Rover did. Why couldnt they just take abit more time when they designed these cars to make them water tight?

We're they water tested after they came off the assembly line?? Plenums, sunroof drains and the multiple places water can enter the boot spoil what is in my opinion an EXCELLENT car, the above problems frustrate the hell out of me, and believe me I've had water in my ZT from all the above places!

I'm sure that when they were new and they were running clean tap water down them they were fine!

Now fast forward 10 years and put silt and other rubbish down them and they block up, completely different kettle of fish I'm afraid!

I know when I finally buy an SE, it'll be one of the 1st jobs I do!

Tremendous photo archive work here; really useful. Done both fronts on my Tourer now; Rears looks a massive undertaking. Is there any way of extracting the lugs from the outside at the rear and then pulling through the 'crappy' tube and maybe adding an extension?? Probably not worth it! Like the connectors. As I said before I used an acid free gutter silicone for cast iorn and aluminium guttering. This stuff is monsterously good.
