Default Scottish Region plans for 2011

I'm not sure how things work since the 'new club' in relation to meetings and events etc, anyway I've just about got my Calander of events sorted for the MGTF so whats on the cards for the 75 & ZT OC in Scottish region in 2011?

Sorry if its too early in the year to ask

Hi Glenn,

Not too early at all and glad to see you are interested.

As Regional Secretary I am here to co-ordinate meets but am always open to any suggestions members may have.

So far the calendar is shaping up along these lines:

Jan 11
Feb 11 - 1st Meet (TBC - possible return to Cambo?)
Mar 11 - 6th March: 1st National Meet
Apr 11
May 11 - SARR (Falkirk Wheel - tbc)
Jun 11
Jul 11 - Possible Gretna meet with Bluejon's region (tbc)
Aug 11
Sep 11 - 18th Sept: 2nd National Meet
Sep 11 - East Fortune - Monster Machines
Oct 11
Nov 11 - Loch Lomond Shores(Xmas Lights)
Dec 11

I must stress these are only outline plans and I will need to discuss with Bluejon his plans regarding Gretna.

I would welcome any suggestions the members may have.

One idea was for a few smaller less formal meets, more in the way of "runs". For example a "run" to somewhere like Largs or Troon for fish and chips and a natter. All ideas welcome and thanks to Glenn for kicking 2011 off.

**Oh, and Glenn as OP can you ask this to be moved in to the Scottish folder please.

Thanks

Derek

Ooohhh a run to Troon sounds good! . I'm going to try my best to go to the meet at Duxford on the 24th July if anyone else fancies a long trip.

Sorry Derek, i can see how to do this

I did question myself about where to post. I thought the Scottish Folder was maybe for definate events and the other bit (where i posted) was for general discussion.

Maybe end this thread and start a new one in the Scottish Folder?

Hi Glenn,

Thanks, I'll do that and post a link from this to the new thread once I create it.

There is not a problem with posting in the general area however the regional folders exist to make it easier for members to find what is happening in their own region (without having to search the general folder) in theory.

Derek

Okay,

To all Scottish Members (and those interested in attending any Scottish Meets) I have started a new thread in the Scottish Regional Folder for discussion of plans for 2011 - Here

Can this discussion please continue on the new thread (if that is okay Glenn?).

Many thanks

Derek
