ITP ... has mine given up?
Just out of curiosity, just how loud is the itp when listening through the filler cap? only asking as while I was fiddling about cleaning the more awkward places on my cdt I remembered a thread about listening for the pump as a guide to see if it's working.
I didn't notice any buzzing or humming of any sort tbh, having said that ... my hearing is shot to pieces anyway! So ... am I to assume my itp may have given up? or is there a more fool proof way of finding out if it's goosed? |

Remove the rear seat squab, undo four 10 mil inspection panel bolts drivers side turn the key to position 2 and you should instantly hear it very easily

if the itp has failed you can still run the car on the ubp as long you keep more than a quarter tank of fuel in rgds mark

Cheers peeps, will do the inspection thing at the weekend, as said before ... can't hear it through the tank filler but the ubp is working fine as i have had no issues with fueling etc:. just figured out that it might just be my hearing (or lack of it) as I have run the tank down to the dash warning comes on at least twice in the last fortnight and had no problems with starting / running as yet, so will definitely have to remove the inspection plate under the seat to be sure.
Thanks again for the replies. |
