Default CDTi Heater hose bleed valve replacement

I had a burst right next to the bleed valve on the heater hose (non FBH). I was having problems sourcing the right hose (which I have now done thanks to help from the forum) but in the meantime for quickness, as I was stuck in Portugal, I found and sent for a steel connecting hose with a brass bleed screw which I have now fitted which is, in my opinion, better than the original.
If anyone has a similar problem, it might be worth considering this repair which can be found on ebay item no 161199052408 (sorry can't get a link to work)

My car does not have the FBH and it would seem that it has been replaced by far too much needless hose, when I get back I may look at other items on this firms site to simplify what's under my bonnet.

Original hoses were retained in case a FBH is fitted. After deletion as a standard fitment, it became a customer option.

Thanks. That's interesting I didn't realise that the FBH was still offered as an option after discontinuation, hence all the tubing remaining (probably cheaper than redesigning new hoses as well I guess)
