I can see what Mike is saying here, in his picture the flattened part of the curved section where the forming mandrel originally clamped the wire is in the same place on both compensators.


However is it not the case that the the bend "unwinds" over a period of time which explains why the wire is no longer parallel in a stretched compensator?


In any event the mini version is a wholly better idea, which can actually compensate as opposed to being a simple cable splitter.
