Default V6 lower tie rod mount

Hi,

My 75 V6 has the usual symptons of a warn lower tie rod such as funny vibrations, not so smooth changes etc. Have got a new one and from what i see i need to drop the exhaust/ possibly remove the lambada sensor in the way of the bolt. Advice please

Cheers
John

Most people find they go straight in without removing anything other than the undertray. I'm sure there's a HowTo type thread/threads on this if you do a search.

Undertray off, heat shield off.

Undoo bolts on the mountand remove one at the smaller end of the mount then rocking of the engine will enable ( just) the other bolt to pass the sensor.

Did this recently. Used a jack under the sump to tilt the engine and leave my hands free :

The engine will move by hand enough to let the bolt miss the sensor
