Default Changing headlight direction

My 53 reg ZT 190 has the (Mark 1) projector headlights fitted. According to the handbook the outside lights have a switch to move the beam across for Continental driving.

All sounds easy until you try and find the switch. It is virtually impossible to get your hand behind the light (fusebox moved to do so) and when you do I am blowed if I can feel any type of switch to move.

Anyone had a similar problem and found a solution, or are my headlights possibly switchless?

Well it's like this.........I originally read that they were in the inner/main beam lamp but mine hasn't got them but I've since read that they are actually in the outer/dipped beam lamp & it's the Xenons that are in the inner, I haven't checked yet but basically there'll be a metal lollypop stick which you move either up or down as required

Maybe if you know what the lever looks like it will be easier. Here's a drawing from the handbook (2004) which shows the lever. The Mark 1 system is the same. It's the square thing seen on the left of the lamp case.
