Default Clunking

Still getting used to the car & enjoying it while I do; when changing upto 2nd/3rd there’s a clunking from the rear. It doesn’t do this when I change gears slowly & deliberately, what’s this all about?

Steve.

I would of thought that the noise you heard when going from 2nd to 3rd was the wheels spinning

Thanks peeps,

love this car, it's got so much character. Came out the petrol station yesterday morning, floored it & got up to 70 so quickly & with so much growling I couldn't stop ing.

Steve

I'm sorry but that comment really anoys me. Dont get me wrong..I love my MG 260 but I have diven rear wheel drives for many years. They don't all clunk. Its just poor engineering. You wouldn't expect a BMW or Audi to clunk why the MG.

Yes they all do that but its not good!!!
