Rover 75 (05) auto diesel-jatco box
My tourer changes up to top gear at precisely 50 M.P.H. can this speed be lowered to say 40/45 mph as driving in built up areas, or long tail backs that are about 45mph is a pain?

Move the selector to the '4' position Les. The gearbox then will not select 5th. If it's still not to your liking, move it to '3'.
