Central locking
Hi, bought my 75 a couple of months ago drove it home parked it and locked it, came out later would not unlock with remote, pressed the lock button car unlocked, I then pressed the lock button again and car locked, had to unlock using the key, couple of days later pressed the unlock button and car unlocked, and remote worked all day, next day remote would not unlock, obvious the central locking does work, has been suggested that the remote may need resyncing does anyone know the best way to do this, had bought another actuator but it seems that the central locking does work.

It would be worth changing the battery in the remote for starters.

As the remote is working on occasion, have you considered the remote battery may need replacing? next try a battery reset. Disconnect the negative battery lead for 30 mns, If that fails to help then to resync is Press the LOCK button 4 times in succession. Let us know how you get on mate.
Good luck. Lee.

Yes, did read somewhere that a remote can be re sync by turning the ignition on for so long then off then on again but cannot find the thread now.

Locking but refusing to unlock is the usual symptom for dead door actuators. If the key is locking the car then is it not confirming the key is synced? Does it lock and unlock from the switch by the handbrake?

Yes that works perfect, also found that the lock button will also lock and unlock, will have to try the actuator I bought see if that works.

If your key lock button both locks and unlocks the car, and the button near handbrake locks and unlocks all doors as it should then your key may be at fault. Do you have a spare key?

Hi no spare key, so it looks like I will have to change the actuator that u bought, before I go through the hassle of changing it is there any way I can check that the one I bought works ok before I change it just in case it is no good.
