Default The process I am using

I have tried many products and I must admit that no matter what products I buy you can not avoid the hard work needed to get a good shine and protection. Even an electric buffer will require time. I actually enjoy spending some time under the sun polishing and waxing my cars.

I currently use the following:

1.) Clay bar the entire car 3 times a year

2.) Meguires paint cleaner

3.) Mequires Ultimate Polish

4.) Meguires Carnuba Wax

I only use the paint cleaner after about 3 washes then followed by polish and wax.

Does anyone else have a different view on the process? I am currently getting great results but there is always room for improvement.

Like you said, you can make it as expensive and crazy as you want.
But the steps you are mentioning sound fine for a solid start.
You don't mention anything about washing, so you could consider the 2-bucket method, a microfiber washmitt, some microfibre drying towels and some Quick Detailer to maintain the good looks. But for all I know you are already doing this :P.

AHHH! Yes Very important step. polishing over road grime and dirt would certainly not help the shine any!
