Redwing hasn't been on-line for two years!

He was a patient man though Simon, and waited 8 years (sadly in vain) for a reply.

I thought we were all answering RichandPaula's problem.

Yet another zombie thread resurrected. When will threads that are inactive for more than 6 months start being automatically locked?

That was my first thought too. New tyres have good deep treads and will often pick up a stone bigger than usual and cause a clicking sound. just have look.

On another Forum (nothing to do with cars) I have seen they have a red banner below the last reply to let everyone know when is an old thread.

Personally I'd prefer that to locking the thread, just in case anyone has something relevant to add.

This forum uses rather ancient web forum software, which is very limiting. There are lots of extra features on more up to date software, like automatically saving your text as a draft, until it is posted, better search facilities and pop ups to let you know if there has been a reply to a thread you have subscribed to, saves you having to check manually.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
