spending dosh is sooo easy!
Ok having returned to the fold ( sold my ZT CDTI and regretted )
I have bought my new ride ( not a ZT or Connie as first advertised in the wanted adds) NOPE! Its a sky blue, ( well its light met blue will see what the code is when i get her) She's a 75, 2002, 90k miles with full service history right up to current milage, full mot and taxed. All good so far. i will be flying in to Newcastle from Belfast on sat morning then train to Durham to collect her, couple of stop off's on the way to pick up some "stuff" for her on the way back to Stranrear for the ferry home. This is what im going to do to her. As you probably know i wanted a white one to do this to but rare as a rare thing from raresville! so in my humble this is the next best colour. so first things first, 1,Rear ZT spoiler, ( sorted) 2, premium front bumper with grill and fitting kit ( sorted) 3, mkII headlights ( xenon if poss) ( yet to sort) 4, 18" Straights, 11 spoke or grid pins. ( in pipeline) 5, T4 160 remap ( Brian T4 is sorting on sat morning YEE HAA!) 6, respray the spoiler and the front bumper, can do myself thats my trade although desk jockey now but still paint related. ( easy, so will be sorted) 7, do the air intake mod to help her breath better after the remap ( to do when bumper off) 8, get the wheels refurbed 3 coat epoxy powder coated by a mate in Ballymoney ( superb job too) either bright silver or chrome/stainless look powder coat, nice! 9, Full Professional detail and mechanical polish and seal ( by me once all else is done) 10,New rubber all round. ( in pipeline after wheels refurbed) so ten steps to a special, i cant wait, Just finished my man cave and have fitted in the compressor and all the insulation just to finish the wiring then im ready for...................oh i need a name for her! suggestions? i will keep you posted on the trials, tribulations and victories as i go. PS im on nightshift and bored so expect lots of threads! Last edited by falcoron; 19th November 2013 at 22:54.. |

I have a set of 18" grid spokes (no tyres) for sale if you are interested. I'm not to far away from you.

Very nice, have fun! Sounds like it's going to be a hoot when it's done.
If you need any bits, give me or another trader a nudge and we'll sort you out.

Is it an mgr premium bumper or one with mg7 grill kit. Should look great when completed. Glad to see someone going to such extent .
