Ronnie is on about wiring in a non-genuine item into the car and then having another fob on the key ring I believe!

I did the remote mod a separate remote that does the boot also opens and closes the windows and horn via separate remote.

I'm not interested in the additional remote, be as well just carrying the additional key! The facelift BCU to enable the remote boot unlocking does interest me though.

I only had the separate remote as I like the seat memory function on the original remote as both me and the wife use the car.

I don't have electric seats so that's not a problem. I'll def be looking into getting hold of a facelift BCU etc :xmas-smiley-005:

is there any real differences between YWC001521 and YWC001522?

also does this affect the remote locking itself, ie. would I lose the remote unlock if I plug one of those in without t4

The later part number simply supersedes the early one, as far as I'm aware!
