I'll have a cupboard full of 'Relays' at this rate Klarzy. Out of the two, which would you suggest.

if you can wait a few weeks I have just ordered some that dim 50% and should fit INSIDE the headlight so you can have plug and play and only one lead to connect up to a switched +
