One of my front wheels drones a lot, but its not the bearing. Its defo the tyre and its worse when slightly below the correct pressure (valve leaks a little).

I would look at tyres 1st, I had same noise and took it to have wheel bearings checked, 2 rear tyres fitted, no noise after. Dave

Quick update,

Jacked up the rear of the car, tried the wheels for latteral play, but they seemed ok, swapped the rear wheels with the front, and low and behold there is a droning noise at the front, not as loud as it was, but it is the same noise. Will check the tyres or wheels and keep you informed.

Hi quick update 2.

Took the beast for a good run on the M6 tonight, got up to 60mph and the front wheels started shaking like a shaking thing, got home checked the wheels and found quite a large dent in one of the wheels, mentioned it to her indoors, who said she hit a kerb with one of the back wheels a couple of weeks ago !!! A trip to try to get the wheels balanced tomorrow.
