Is your rev counter moving when you crank the engine?

Try disconnecting the outlet pipe from the UBP where it enters the fuel filter and place in a large jar. Turn the key to position II and you should get a good strong flow of fuel for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

If you don't then likely a fuel supply fault on the low pressure side.

If that checks out then an injector leakback test will show if you have one or more leaking injectors.

Assuming the ECM is OK you might have a fault on the high pressure fuel side - the O ring on the fuel pressure regulator can fail.

What type of code reader did you use? The generic OBDII types won't communicate with the earlier diesels.

You could try a light blast of easy start or lighter fuel, if tries to fire points to a fuel problem..if not then you would have to look for the fault..

I offer a rapid testing/repair/exchange ECM service, in terms of quality, well let's just say it will work and at a price which won't have you crying into your beer

Here is one I did earlier, but without the two middlemen, the cost is less than half that listed, but with the same warranty
