Default Not sure what this is

When I lift off the accelerator I get a bit of a jolt/clunk and the same again when I put my foot on the pedal. It’s only just started happening - does anyone know what this could be? It’s from the front end/engine sort of area.

Thanks

Kev

Yes, forgotten what they're called though, rear wishbone bushes I think.

This is low speed, higher speed may be a lower mount.

Be sure this is the fault, wait for other replies. Bushes are very tight but will fit with a little fairy liquid, and better on ramps. A little awkward to get to, do a search.

HI Kevin.
As already been stated above it is most likely the lower engine tie bar, these can over time wear in the centre, I note you have a V6 so you will need to remove the small bolt first, then undo the large bolt you will only be able to undo it so far as the exhaust will get in the way, this will then allow you to push the engine forward a little which helps remove the large bolt, some reading below for you also Arctic.

HI Heddy.
Have you ever purchased those rear bushes in your link, I have quite a while back and you do not receive what is in the listed photo, so buyer beware, as the ones that come have less rubber in and would only last about a couple of months. photo below of what I received, money refunded and told to keep the bushes which are still in the shed.

The seller lists these
1

You receive these well I did anyway.
2

The OP first needs to check the lower engine tie bar.

Thank you very much for the replies, I’ll try and get someone to take a look to confirm.

Default Lower engine tie/mount

Hi

As said before most likely the lower (at rear of engine near exhaust) engine mount. It is not always evident at first glance if it is the culprit. Easy job to remove and check both the small and large rubber bush. If that is all that it is a nice easy and relatively cheap job to sort.
