Morning fellow Chillers - and it is - chilly that is. We've had a slight frost overnight and it's now just cold and grey.
I'm on house sitting duties for my daughter and son-in-law today. When she first bought her house, she got a fixed rate mortgage for 5 years at 5.1%. Now that the 5 years is coming to an end, she's been able to get another 5 years - at only 1.64% - that's a saving of well over £300 per month on repayments
I remember the days when the mortgage rate was around 12% back in the early 90s

Cool

Chucking it down here and turned cold again.

Stayed in again today, only ventured out to unload Banana when Allen came round.

Might even consider putting the heating on, sorry Rod.

Yes remember it well Rod, the phrase 'disposable income' hadn't been invented back then.

Good evening Jeff, thanks for those good wishes. Gin got through the night OK, but the snake bite has left her back legs sore and she is not able to walk on them. We are hoping her mobility will improve with the treatment. The vet has put her on a 10 day course of pain killers, antibiotics and vitamin supplements. Her breed is Basenji. Here is a photo I took of her this afternoon....

Good evening Andy, thank you very much for those kind thoughts for Gin the dog. She is from the Basenji hunting breed, which goes back to the 4th Egyptian dynastic period. A hot day here and a hot night. I hope your feeling better.

Stay cool mate

Cool

Morning everyone.

Just for a change it has rained all night, and it is still raining.

Still have no appetite, just cannot face food. Basically living on porridge in the morning and soup in the evening with lots of tea in between.

So going to wrap myself up and venture out today, get some clean air in my lungs.
