Was this process expensive Ross (blasting, zinc priming and off-shore grade repaint)? I'm going to replace all my rear end components with brand new parts and I'm wondering whether I should do the same as you've done.

I think the factory paint job on new parts is nowhere near tough enough - it looks like a single black finish coat straight onto on bare metal. This is what's caused all our rear ends to rust in the first place.
