Default Front disc splash guards

The splash/stone guards on my 2.5 connie are rotting away and need replacing.
Will I have to dismantle beyond just disc removal in order to get to the guard to renew?
Thanks
Andy

When I fitted mine I just cut a slot in the metal to fit over the hub 😎

No you do not have to remove the hub. As Suzublu has said, cut away the front thin edge of the splash guard. You may need to then twist, force the splash guard on. The bolt heads are just 8mm and these can rust quite easily. I changed my splash guards a couple of weeks ago. I heated each bolt with a blow torch for a couple of minutes and the bolts were then very easy to remove.
I made new bolts, I brazed a 6mm threaded nut onto a 5mm bolt. I then painted the heads with Hammerite to protect them.

Stainless steel bolts may be a better option for replacements. They are widely available, e.g.:-
