New boot board needed
Hi
Due to old leaks into the boot of my ZT i need a new boot board. I've needed one for a while but as the car is off the road i've put up with a saggy one.! I hope to get the zt back on the road when my health improves. Does any one make new ones as I live in a 3rd floor flat and i'm not in a position to make a new one my self. I would also need one for a ZS saloon. I have seen old posts where people have made there own ones also a couple of years back a member did make a couple of them i believe. Can anyone help. Thanks |

I was gonna get a bit of mdf cut to shape and add a handle so I'd have the boot carpet on top to cover it and be able to lift the mdf, it would be sturdier as well for heavier items in the boot

You would be better to use PLY (preferably marine ply) rather than MDF. MDF can absorb moisture like a sponge, over time becoming mouldy too. Whatever you use, seal it by painting with a few coats of a good quality varnish or gloss paint Paying particular attention to the edges. It could be any paint/varnish you have left over, it is not going to be seen
