Default Project Drive must have affected concentration too..!

See pics attached of potential route for water ingress to boot..

There's a taped-up hole either side of the boot (located behind the bumper on the outside), which is sealed with brush-on seam sealer - but not very well in this case..!

What were these holes for? And is there a dedicated grommet to fit this size/shape?
