Mirror Shells
I've noticed that one of my wing mirror shells is becoming a tad tatty of late (chrome plating departing) and I wonder if anyone could offer advice on either refurbishing or replacing one or both ?

They are chrome plated on plastic, so don't think refurbishment is a viable option, secondhand replacement covers are often available on here or eBay. There is a post to popping the covers off on this site.

As it looks as though I need replacements for my tatty shells, does anyone know where I could get some and how to fit them please ?

Bullets or Scullcaps Bill ? Bullets you need to pop the mirror glass out, reach inside with pliers, squeeze the little tabs at the back & ease the cover off. Sculls you need to use a credit card or thin blade to ease the cover off around the edges

This is the LH one.
Rimmer: https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-CRC100250MMM Bear in mind these are £36 each plus delivery, so you won't get much change from £80 a pair. EDIT: You could also try eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-25-...MAAOSwmrJdTEdz TC Last edited by T-Cut; 5th September 2019 at 08:48.. |
