Still the best police force in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Darn site better that the Ukrainian police I noticed recently.

Neither of them will do it again though, both lower echelons of society in my eyes.

Typical, by quoting other police forces excuses what this thug, because that is what he was, of what he did.... Maybe next time it will be you, or better still your daughter or wife, I'm sure you'll feel the same way.....

Can't say I feel sorry for the woman who racks up a string of offences

Need a bit more of this from the police before they start having to 'ask' offenders to come to the police station and if they say no then they have to let them go.

That's why we have a Police Force that is supposed to be impartial rather than judge and executioner like a vigilante would be.
How would you like it if someone spread a rumour around that you had done some nasty deed and instead of the police coming around and arresting you a mob came around, smashed down your door, beat the **** out of you instead...??? Guilty or not, which would you prefer? I suppose the later as that is what you profess.

Ha ha, woman deserves a kicking IMO, stealing, junky, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer, police officer is entitled to subdue her imo .

Of course it's the policemans fault

Can't wait to see her compensation claim...

Default Undecided and on the fence.

I like to be even handed so:

It's not the job of the police to administer justice, it's the job of the courts.

On the other hand, I understand the frustration of police officers who time and time again see courts dishing out lenient sentences.

One thing I don't understand is why a police officer who knows the place is full of CCTV did it in full view.

I see the outcome being she'll get compensation for his misdemeanour and he'll get compensation for wrongful dismissal.

Can't be more even handed than that.
